Special Details:
This being a government installation, all our crew had to pass a background check in order to be on-site. This was an asphalt-based roof, so a primer/bleed blocker was necessary to prevent asphalt from bleeding through the silicone.
Condition/Problem:
The roof was failing due to the age and there were leaks throughout the field of the roof and the perimeter.
Solution:
Completely sweep, remove debris, and power wash the entire roof to prepare it for the application of the Henry Roof System. Problem areas and all penetrations and seams were reinforced. After given the proper time to cure, primer was applied to the field membrane, followed by the application of PGE-988 to the entire roof field. Given the necessary time to cure, the crew returned to apply secondary touch up at areas that were needed.
Result:
A seamless, white reflective, Energy Star rated, silicon system that will last more than 20 years.
