Special Project Circumstances: The customer needed several old exhaust vents removed from the roof. There were also multiple leaks throughout the roof that were impacting the office and work area.

Condition/Problem: The roof was failing due to age and weathering, causing multiple leaks throughout the field of the roof and along a wall to roof connection. We repaired these leaks and started our process to restore the roof.

Solution: The project started by completely sweeping and removing debris from the roof. This was followed by a power wash of the entire roof to prepare it for the application of the Gaco Silicone Roof Restoration System. The identified problem areas were addressed while all penetrations and seams were reinforced. After given the proper amount of time to cure, the primer was applied to the field membrane. This was followed by the application of the Gaco S2000 to the entire roof field. Given the necessary amount of time to cure, we returned to apply secondary touch up at areas we believed were needed.

Result: A seamless, white reflective, Energy Star rated, Gaco silicone system that will last more than 20 years.
