This job came from one of our repeat customers. They were having issues with their TPO roof and had difficulty getting the original installers and manufacturers to come out and fix the problems. We had completed some repairs on the roof the previous year, but the association needed something long-term as the roof condition was quickly degrading, and potential problems would become a regular occurrence. This customer was also looking for a manufacturer labor and material warranty. We called Gaco to meet us at the site to complete a thorough inspection to see if the roof qualified for a Roof Restoration System, which it did. This roof had 100s of fasteners poking up from underneath the TPO and some poking through the membrane. This issue is common on most roofs but not on such a large scale. We cleaned and reinforced the areas with trowel grade and reinforcement fabric to ensure if more screws popped up, they would not go through the membrane and the Restoration System. Then we completed the Roof Restoration System over the roof, reinforcing the weak points and adding a liquid-applied membrane.
